This term our topic is UK explorers. As part of our learning we have been doing lots of map work: plotting routes, finding locations and drawing our own maps. We plotted a route and walked to our local library. We drew our own map of the school, using an aerial photograph to help us.

We also had a very exciting day of orienteering in our school grounds. We used grid references to find anagrams of our year 3 spellings and to find multiples tubs for a maths game. We were outside for the whole day, so we had some hot chocolate to warm us up. In the afternoon we practised our Thinkers Values, working in teams to build dens.
