The school gates are staffed from 8.35am and the children should be in school ready for registration by 8:45am.

Any child arriving after this time will need to come through the main school entrance and buzz on the school door to be let in.

If a child arrives between 8.45am and 9.05am they will be marked as ‘Late’, which counts as an attendance.

If a child arrives after 9.05am they will be recorded as ‘Late after register closed’ – this counts as an unauthorised absence.

Reception and Key Stage 1 will be brought down the school drive to be collected at 3:15pm. Key Stage 2 children are brought down the drive at 3:25pm. We are happy for Year 6 children to walk home by themselves, but we do require parental permission.

the school day/reporting absence

Reporting Absence

If your child is not in school by 9:05am and we have not already received a call explaining the reason, parents will be contacted. If we are unable to get in touch with parents we will record the absence as unauthorised.

We need the parents to help the school by notifying us of all absences on the first day of sickness and keep the office informed if the illness lasts longer than a couple of days. Please try to notify the school office by 9am.

If your child is suffering from sickness or diarrhoea, they should stay off school for 48 hours after symptoms have stopped.

If you are unsure as to whether your child should attend school, the NHS have a useful guide here
