At Westlands Primary School, we have created an environment that provides the “Gateway to Learning” for our pupils. Children at Westlands are offered a safe and secure environment where they can challenge themselves and be challenged to be the best that they can be.
At Westlands, our pupils are safe to communicate their ideas and have those ideas listened to by our team. By providing a stimulating curriculum, full of opportunities for development, we aim to give every child the skills they will need to pass through the “Gateway” and develop as responsible members of our society.
By developing, not only their academic learning, but also their knowledge of the wider world through extracurricular activities and opportunities, we hope to further enhance the range of experiences that our children have during their time at Westlands.

SUAT supports and leads in the set-up of new academies joining the partnership. The services provided by the central support function cover both educational and non-educational support. In terms of educational support, SUAT is linked to the School of Education of Staffordshire University, which is an outstanding ITT provider.
