Welcome back Year 5 to our new term. I hope that you have all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas break.

Our topic for this term will be ‘Ancient Greece’ and we have some wonderfully exciting opportunities planned for the children.

The homework grids and spellings will be posted below and paper copies will be sent out at the end of the week.

Your continued support with homework and home reading is greatly appreciated. Like last term, homework will be handed out on a Friday with an English and maths activity and an activity to be chosen from the topic homework grid to be brought back into school the following Wednesday.

We have arranged some extra swimming sessions for some of the children in order to build their confidence in the water and these sessions will begin next week. Not all of the children will swim this half term some will stay in school and have P.E on Wednesday and I will send a message if your child needs to bring their swimming kits with them.

I look forward to continuing to work together during this term.
